Welcome to the British Ski Center & Sierra Essence Group, your home for ski holidays in the stunning Sierra Nevada. With over 30 years’ experience, our British Ski Center offers friendly, qualified native-English instructors who teach group and private ski & snowboard lessons, including kids’, adaptive, and ski guiding classes. Through Sierra Essence, we make your holiday effortless — arranging your lift passes, equipment hire , and accommodation from cosy apartments to hotels. Sierra Nevada itself is a one-of-a-kind, high-altitude resort with 131 pistes and over 110 skiable kilometers. It’s great for all levels, and just about 1 hour from Granada Airport or 2 hours from Málaga. So, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned skier, we’ve got you covered — let us take care of everything so you can simply enjoy the snow and sunshine.

Giles
Co-OwnerGiles is the owner of TSE and co-founder of BSC, with over 35 years of skiing experience and a lifelong passion for snow. A top-level TD3 instructor with the Spanish ski federation, he’s known for his friendly, professional approach and loves helping skiers of all levels progress. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Giles makes everyone feel welcome on and off the slopes.
Jonathan
Co-Owner
Jonathan is co-founder and owner of BSC, a true mountain lover who’s been skiing and instructing in Sierra Nevada since 1991. Known as our social media star, he’s always the first on the slopes and last off, bringing passion, energy, and top-quality instruction to every client. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, Jonathan makes everyone feel right at home on the mountain.
Harry
Ski Instructor
Harry grew up skiing in Sierra Nevada from a very young age. Being Jonathan’s son, he knows the mountain inside and out and has explored every last corner over the years. With skiing as his true passion, he brings great energy, a fun teaching style, and genuine enthusiasm to every session, sharing his love for the sport with everyone he teaches.
Tom
Ski/Snowboard Instructor
Tom is our super-tall, multi-talented instructor from the coast, equally at home on skis or a snowboard. Fluent in English and Spanish, he’s known for his patience, positive energy, and genuine care in making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable time on the slopes
Amy
Ski Instructor
BSC’s longest running team member, Amy is a firm favourite with families and their kids. A true role model to BSC and a fundamental asset in our growth over the years, Amy's cheeky and jovial nature, energy and enthusiasm generate hugely positive results and it’s little wonder that, time and time again, she is repeatedly requested by our returning clients.
Jasmin
Ski Instructor
Jasmin is our adventurous Austrian team member, always happy, caring, and full of enthusiasm for skiing. Fluent in English, German, and Spanish (with no hint of an accent!), she brings a warm, friendly energy to the slopes and loves sharing her passion for the mountains.
Asa
Snowboard Instructor
Asa is our main snowboard instructor and a friendly face from the Canary Islands, fluent in both English and Spanish. Always cheerful (and usually with a coffee in hand), his love for snowboarding shines through as he supports and motivates riders from beginner all the way to expert level.
Graham
Ski Instructor
Graham is a highly skilled BASI Level 4 instructor, the top qualification in the British system, with a career shaped by extensive teaching and training in France. Calm, friendly, and professional, he brings a considerate approach to every lesson and loves nothing more than spending time on the mountain. Fluent in English and French, Graham makes learning both comfortable and enjoyable.
Sarah
Secretary/Coordinator
Sarah is our friendly Australian voice behind the phone and emails, keeping everything running smoothly from your very first enquiry. With amazing organisational skills and a big smile, she manages the office side of things—unless she’s up on the mountain snowboarding and perfecting her jumps Aussie-style.
